Winner of the National Prize of the Arts Grant in Argentina.

Since J.P. Jofre arrived in New York from his humble upbringings in Argentina, the bandoneónista has taken his form of contemporary tango to some of the city’s most important venues as Soloist-Composer-Arranger along side with top world renowned and nine times Grammy winner Paquito D’ Rivera among others.

2011 Mr Jofre appears at the Latin Grammy Ceremony in Las Vegas and gives a bandoneon workshop at the Las Vegas University along side with Ulli Geissendoerfer Ensamble.

Jofre has been touring in Japan, Taiwan, Spain,Italy,USA,Chile,Argen,tina Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival and has arranged, composed and performed for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Paquito D’ Rivera Sextet, virtuoso violinist Nina Beilina and Bachanalia String Orchestra , Bachanalia Taiwan, Westchester Jazz Orchestra San Juan National Symphony Orchestra, Fernando Otero Quintet and many others
Mr Jofre is courrently writing music for his New Tango projects-Symphony Orchestras and will appear at the prestigious UMBRIA WINTER JAZZ FESTIVAL in Italy along side with I Solisti di Perugia.
