Considered one of the most important artists of our time, Mikhail Turovsky was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1933. In 1979 he fled the upper echelon of Soviet Social Realist painters to begin a life of creative freedom in the United States. Today his works are a part of the permanent collections in many prestigious museums in the United States, Russia, Israel, France, and Ukraine, as well as many important private collections. Mikhail Turovsky’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world including USA, France, Israel, Spain, Ukraine and Russia. In 1990 his paintings were exhibited alongside works by such great artists as Paul Cezanne, Marc Chagall, Edgar Degas and Andy Warhol at the seminal art show ‘Modern Paintings Contemporary Art’ in Paris. In 2009 the exhibition of Turovsky HOLOCAUST paintings was held at the Headquarters of United Nations Organization in New York.
